KEN'S PAG GROUP SESSIONS AND BOOK
"ACTING IS STORYTELLING©"

DON GERLER - LOS ANGELES TALENT AGENT

"Of all the books on Acting that I have read and all the methods,
approaches and styles I have seen in my 30 plus years as a L.A. based
talent agent; 'ACTING IS STORYTELLING'  is the first that actually makes sense.
It is a must read for all actors."

   PETER BROWN - ACTOR/PRODUCER - LA

"...this is the finest, easiest to understand handbook and guide for  the New Age Actor
(or any actor of any age, for that matter) I have
ever come across...  Treat yourself  to this book.  It will become
your  acting Bible." ... Ken is one of the best teachers/coaches I have ever had
the good fortune to personally watch work with his students.

   ALEX CORD - ACTOR/AUTHOR -

                            Kenny,
"Taking out the mystique and getting down to what it's really all about -
telling the story through hard work and a creative imagination....
Every actor should be obliged to learn your book cover-to-cover before ever
attempting to develop a character.... Thank you for sharing your wisdom with me.
I feel honored."
Your friend, Alex

WALLACE DORIAN - AUTHOR/PRODUCER - LA

"What can I say? It's exciting and brilliant. A real "Bible" for the actor.
You cut away all the "fat", so to speak, and give the aspiring actor the backbone and
meat to go ahead and create REAL characters. It transcends all other known books on
acting that I have come across in my 34 years in the business. I feel honored to have
come upon it and would recommend it as required reading to any and every actor that
I ever work with in the future."

ERYN BROOKE - ACTRESS - DALLAS

Ken,  just wanted to tell ya I miss being in class and I am ready to be able to come more.
And also I can't imagine what I would be doing now had I never met you.  (Maybe medical school-ha ha) what I am trying to say is THANK YOU not only for being my friend but
an amazing mentor and teacher.  You are appreciated!  And last I thank you for allowing
me to feel the way I do on set when I'm filming, the way I feel my characters, the
way the backstory takes over, Thank you for feeding my passion and
making it something I can continue doing!
      LOVE,  ERYN

ERIC MORALES - ACTOR
NORTH CAROLINA

Ken,  the book is Great! I'm a beleiver.  Period!  I thought the information was going
to be interesting, but I wasn't expecting the simple brilliance of it all.  I am recommending
it to every one I meet. Can you tell I'm excited!
You have made things so easy to grasp. I know I have been told some of this stuff in the
past, by some of my teachers, but never in this simple, straight-forward a context.
You have also supplied some nice answers (for me) to apply to life in gereral,
with your perspective.
I have been on a few auditions since reading your book, and i feel much more comfortable and confident.  Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to learn from
you.  All teachers and coaches should be informing us in this manner.
Regards,
Eric Morales - Actor
North Carolina

KELLY JACKSON - ACTOR - DALLAS

Ken, I will have probably read the book 2X more times by the time I get back to class,
it's that good!
You've got some good food in there.  There are certain truths in Life that are meant for some, even though they are accessible to all.  For me, your book has tenants as powerful to
an actor as Miyamoto Musashi's "Go Rin No Sho: A Book of Five Rings" is to the
warrior.  Musashi wrote in Book  Five (The Book of the Void),  "With your Spirit settled,
accumulate practice day by day and hour by hour.  Polish the two-fold spirit, heart and
mind, and sharpen the two-fold gaze, perception and sight.  When your spirit is not in
the least clouded, when the clouds of bewilderment  clear away, there is the true void."
This is, in a sense, how I see acting.  If we master our tools, truly/honestly create our back
story, and then GET OUT OF THE WAY - we will be in the "VOID".  You do not attain
the Void by Luck, Wit, Grit and especially not Bull Shit.
"Learn the Principle, abide by the Principle, and dissolve the Principle.  In short, enter the mold
without being caged in it.  Obey the Principle without being bound by it.  LEARN,
MASTER and ACHIEVE."  Bruce Lee
Not sucking up, man, just frigging impressed.
Thanks,
Kelly Jackson = USMC, Ret.

BART BAGGETT - SPEAKER/ACTOR/AUTHOR - Dallas

                                                  Ken,
Your group session was a total riot and the best vehicle for 'learning' I've ever seen.
Fun, relaxed, rule-less, and full of pretty women.   I'll be there often and I
want my radio partner to join. - Bart

SHANE HAMLIN - ACTOR - DALLAS
I learned more last night than in 6 months doing theater!
I got home from group study last night and my mind was racing.  I couldn't get to sleep...
So I finished your entire book...Still couldn't sleep.  Did some of the exercises...
Scanned through the emotions I wasn't familiar with.  Still couldn't sleep...
Then started to read the book again...  Finally got to sleep some time around 4am.
Just wanted to say thanks for taking me on.
It's going to be a  real privilege to be in your group.
Shane

KELLY CARMICHAEL - ACTRESS - LA

                                Ken,

I have always known that what we work on in group study is highly
valuable. I  guess I didn't realize how valuable until I started
working on this  film. Putting everything you teach into
practice for a project is great. I would not have known where to
start when first handed the script if not for you.

At our first rehearsal I was the only one who had learned the
script and no one could believe that I 'knew all my lines' (and
their's too). Doing a backstory  has also helped me so much with
acting. I realize that without the knowledge you have passed to
us, I would be completely lost and clueless in this entire
industry. Don't know where I'd be if I hadn't met ya.  Just
wanted to say thanks.
Love, Kelly

YOLANDA HARPER-RAY - Corpus Christi

                                       Ken,
Thanks again for offering to share your gifts and wisdom with
others.  I feel privileged to have been able to learn from you.
The experience has, and continues to be, truly inspirational.
Yolanda

JANE SARTORI - ACTRESS - AUSTRALIA

             Hey Ken,
I finally received your book and thank you so much mate for your words of inspiration.
I surely am struggling my arse off here in Oz trying to remove all the pre-planted idea's
of what acting is and what a character is and am looking forward to opening up my
vision to something else......I AM BORED OF SAME.......
I have read the first few pages of your book and it's bloody easy to follow your writing
and what you are trying to say,....NO B... S...., getting to the point would most
likely see my social list improve!!!
Thanks for the book and will get back to you on how it works out for me.
Thanks,  Jane Sartori

VERNON REEVES - ACTOR - DALLAS

        Ken,
I am very thankful I started your class because your storytelling technique has help
free me up more than any other approach I have tried and I thank you for that! Enough
of the kiss up I'll see you in class next Tuesday! Happy Thanksgiving!
Vernon Reeves

JOE KRIEMBORG, ACTOR - LOS ANGELES

Boy, Ken, that's a great  book.  I'm an idiot for not reading it closer in Dallas, but I'm
smart enough to  read it now...  My work improved in one read through. I had an audition
this week and I seperated the 4 page scene into French scenes, as per your book,  and learned
each little scene and it worked like magic.  And I'm now doing the visualization drills from
Chapter 15.  If any of your students out there give you any crap and they  don't seem
to  listen to you, just tell them to pull their head out of their butt... I  feel like
you mailing me that book saved my infant  acting career.
Thanks, Joe

ELIZABETH de MORAES
Actress - Dallas

I know I keep thanking you after everytime I take your class, but I just feel the need to do so!  Thank you for last night's class!!!  Even though I feel very green compared to others in the class, you have a way of making people feel comfortable for where they are, but push them to go further.  Though acting for me (and probably everyone else, for that matter) can be frustrating, your approach is very motivating.  I hope to be able to make you very proud some day!

Thank you also for bringing in Peter Brown !  Would you mind telling him that it was a pleasure meeting him and getting to hear his thoughts on acting, etc.?  I looked at his web site and could not find an email address to write him personally to thank him.
Eli

ANGIE NELSON
Actress - Dallas
Ken, I have really enjoyed taking your class and  have learned more from you
in just 3 classes than taking other classes for  months!! As soon as my
schedule slows down I hopefully will be there every Tuesday! I have taken
many  classes and workshops, and yours is by far the BEST!!!
Angie
